  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) chili, with or without beans
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup chopped green onions

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Evenly arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer across the bottom of a large baking dish.
  3. Spread chili evenly over the layer of tater tots.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the surface of the chili.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve with sour cream and chopped green onions on top.

Notes

Use your favorite chili—homemade or canned—with or without beans. For extra heat, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce. You can also swap cheddar for a Tex-Mex cheese blend for a spicier twist.
