Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until a dough forms. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra touch, gently press additional chocolate chips onto the tops of the cookies before baking.
