Method
- Place the pre-made graham cracker crust in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the filling.
- Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Add the peppermint extract to the cream cheese mixture. Taste and adjust the amount if desired.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture with a spatula, taking care not to deflate it.
- Stir in the crushed peppermint candies for added flavor and crunch.
- Pour the filling into the chilled graham cracker crust and smooth the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until fully set.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream and sprinkle additional crushed peppermint candies. Slice with a sharp knife and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra festive touch, add a few drops of red food coloring to the filling for a soft pink hue.
