Method
- Bake the cheesecake layer at 325°F (163°C) for 40–45 minutes. Chill completely.
- Prepare the red velvet cake layers: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix dry ingredients, then combine with wet ingredients until smooth. Bake 25–30 minutes. Cool fully.
- Make the cream cheese frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Assemble the cake by layering red velvet, cheesecake, and frosting. Cover the entire cake with frosting.
- Chill for 1 hour before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a deeper red color, use gel food coloring. Ensure all layers are fully cooled before frosting to maintain structure. This cake slices best when well chilled.
