- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges and the center is set.
- Allow the cookie bars to cool completely before decorating with sprinkles and cutting into squares.
