Ingredients

Cookie Dough
  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • Colorful sprinkles for decoration

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges and the center is set.
  6. Allow the cookie bars to cool completely before decorating with sprinkles and cutting into squares.

Notes

For extra sweetness and festive flair, top the bars with a light vanilla frosting before adding sprinkles. These bars store well and are perfect for holiday cookie boxes.
