Ingredients
  

Banana Bread Batter
  • 3 overripe bananas, mashed
  • 4 tbsp melted vegan butter
  • 0.75 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond or oat milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cup regular or gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
Cinnamon Swirl
  • 4 tbsp melted vegan butter
  • 0.33 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
Frosting
  • 0.75 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted vegan butter
  • 2 oz softened vegan cream cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted vegan butter, maple syrup, almond milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, flour, and oats. Stir until combined.
  4. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan.
  5. Mix melted vegan butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the swirl. Spread half over the batter.
  6. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon swirl mixture.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the bread completely before frosting.
  9. For the frosting, mix powdered sugar, melted vegan butter, and softened cream cheese. Spread over the cooled bread.
  10. Slice, serve, and enjoy.

Notes

For extra texture, stir in chopped nuts or dairy-free chocolate chips. Ensure the loaf is fully cooled before frosting to prevent melting. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
