Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • powdered sugar (for rolling)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in chopped nuts if using.
  7. Scoop 1 tablespoon portions and roll into 1-inch balls.
  8. Place cookies 2 inches apart and bake for 10–12 minutes until bottoms are lightly golden.
  9. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  10. While still warm, roll cookies in powdered sugar for a snowy finish.
