Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Equipment

  • Large pot for boiling pasta
  • Colander
  • Large skillet
  • Spatula or wooden spoon
  • knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Boil bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Pour in heavy cream, cheddar, Parmesan, and paprika. Stir until cheese melts and sauce thickens.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Stir until pasta is coated with sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of chili flakes or substitute Italian seasoning for paprika. This dish pairs wonderfully with garlic bread or a fresh green salad. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
