Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, minced (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • cooking spray or parchment paper for baking

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • parchment paper or cooking spray
  • Spatula or spoon
  • Pastry brush
  • Oven

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, chives, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well until creamy and blended.
  3. Unroll crescent dough on a clean surface and separate the triangles along the perforated lines.
  4. Place about 2 tablespoons of filling at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up toward the point, sealing edges securely. Arrange rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, with a side salad or dipping sauce if desired.

Notes

Serve warm as an appetizer, lunch, or easy dinner. Try adding spinach or diced mushrooms for extra flavor. Leftovers reheat well in the oven or air fryer. Freeze unbaked rolls for up to 2 months.
