Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes peeled optional, cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika smoked optional
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch optional for extra crispiness

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Peel sweet potatoes if desired and cut into 1/4-inch fries.
  3. Soak fries in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  4. Drain and pat fries completely dry. Toss with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add cornstarch if using and toss to coat.
  5. Remove hot baking sheet from oven and spread fries in a single layer without crowding.
  6. Bake 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best crispiness, avoid overcrowding the pan. Use two baking sheets if necessary.
