Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix 3.9 oz
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Toppings
  • 2 cups hot fudge sauce, warmed
  • 2 cups whipped cream (or whipped topping)
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos (or chocolate cookie crumbs)
  • Additional chocolate chips and crushed cookies for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, and milk until smooth. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.
  4. Poke holes throughout the cooled cake using the end of a wooden spoon.
  5. Pour the warm hot fudge sauce over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes. Spread whipped cream evenly over the top.
  6. Sprinkle crushed Oreos and additional chocolate chips on top. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For an extra-chocolatey finish, drizzle additional warm fudge before serving. You can also swap the Oreos for any chocolate cookie of your choice.
