Easy Beefy Tortellini Bake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 package refrigerated cheese tortellini 9 oz
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes to deepen flavor.
  4. Stir in the cheese tortellini and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream to the sauce before baking. You can also mix in spinach or mushrooms for added veggies.
