Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef or pork (or mix)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • fresh herbs, chopped (optional)
  • red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese, for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs until golden brown on all sides and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and Italian seasoning, simmering until slightly thickened.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet and spoon sauce over them. Garnish with Parmesan, herbs, or red pepper flakes as desired. Serve hot.

Notes

You can use beef, pork, or a mix of both. Add red pepper flakes for heat or vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
