Ingredients
  

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 10-inch round pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
  4. Gradually add flour mixture, then stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Spread dough evenly in the pan and sprinkle extra chips on top.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.
  7. Slice, serve, and enjoy.

Notes

Top with frosting or a drizzle of melted chocolate for a festive touch. You can also press extra chocolate chips into the top right before baking for an even chocolatier look. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
