Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp tequila
  • 2 tbsp orange liqueur (Triple Sec)
  • 3 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • lime zest (for coating)

Method
 

  1. Beat cream cheese, lime juice, powdered sugar, tequila, and orange liqueur until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in vanilla wafer crumbs until mixture is thick and sticky.
  3. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls.
  4. Roll each ball in white sugar mixed with lime zest.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm. Serve chilled.

Notes

Store chilled. Alcohol flavor mellows after refrigeration. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute tequila and liqueur with orange juice.
