Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • fresh parsley, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • wooden spoon
  • knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Toss in the diced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, around 5–7 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add the tortellini and cook according to the package instructions until tender.
  6. Once everything is cooked, give it a good stir and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Adjust the spice level by reducing or increasing red pepper flakes. For a creamier texture, stir in a splash of heavy cream at the end. Serve with garlic bread or a simple side salad for a complete meal.
