Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 24 whole Oreo cookies divided and crushed
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2% recommended
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • 1 box (3.9 oz) chocolate pudding mix
  • as desired whipped cream optional for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix chocolate cake mix, eggs, milk, and vegetable oil until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  3. Fold in the chocolate pudding mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Crush 12 Oreo cookies and sprinkle evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Pour the batter over the cookie layer. Crush remaining Oreos and scatter on top.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For extra indulgence, drizzle with chocolate syrup or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream when serving.
