Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped (optional)
  • fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Equipment

  • slow cooker
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spoon or spatula
  • knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub the seasoning into the chicken for maximum flavor.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ranch seasoning mix, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until smooth and well-mixed.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or on HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
  5. Once cooking is complete, garnish with chopped green onions and parsley for a pop of color and flavor (optional).

Notes

For a crispier texture, transfer cooked chicken to a baking dish and broil for 2–3 minutes until golden and bubbly. Serve with rice, pasta, or roasted veggies. Leftovers reheat beautifully and make great sandwich fillings!
