Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula or wooden spoon
  • knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add chicken broth, simmer 2–3 minutes, scraping up browned bits.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and honey. Cook 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over top. Simmer 2–3 minutes to soak up flavors.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Pair with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or buttery rolls to soak up the sauce. You can swap chicken breasts for thighs for a juicier result. Adjust the honey depending on how sweet you prefer the sauce.
