Ingredients

Cookie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Topping
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until fully combined and a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll the dough into small balls and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet. Slightly flatten each ball with your hand or the back of a spoon.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden around the edges. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Once cooled, drizzle caramel sauce over each cookie, spreading gently if needed.
  7. Melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel layer.
  8. Allow the cookies to set completely before serving. Enjoy your homemade Twix cookies!

Notes

For a neater finish, use a piping bag for both the caramel and chocolate drizzle. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the caramel before adding chocolate.
