Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 10-inch bundt pan.
- Prepare the filling: Beat cream cheese, butter, and sugar until fluffy. Add egg, flour, and vanilla and mix until smooth. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk oil, eggs, sour cream, milk, vanilla, vinegar, and red food coloring. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour half the cake batter into the bundt pan. Spoon cream cheese filling over the batter, keeping it about 1 inch from edges. Top with remaining batter and gently swirl.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely in pan before turning out.
- Prepare icing: Beat powdered sugar, cream cheese, cream, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle icing over cooled cake and serve.
Notes
For extra Valentine flair, garnish with heart-shaped sprinkles or chocolate shavings. Cake stores well refrigerated for up to 4 days.
