Ingredients:

  • 2 tubes crescent rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 1 or 2 diced tomatoes, depending on size
  • 1/2 small can sliced olives, if desired
  • Sour cream, optional
  • Sliced avocado, optional

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the crescent roll package.
  2. Prepare Crescent Ring:
    • Lay out the crescent rolls on a baking sheet, arranging them in a circle with the thick sides in. Use some of the leftover crescent rolls to make the center a bit thicker.
  3. Cook Ground Beef:
    • Brown the ground beef (or turkey) and add the taco seasoning according to the package instructions.
  4. Assemble Taco Ring:
    • Lay the cooked beef in a circle inside the crescent rolls. Add grated cheese on top. Pull over the crescent rolls and tuck them in under the meat and cheese.
  5. Add Toppings:
    • Add additional toppings like shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced olives, and any other desired ingredients to the center of the crescent ring.
  6. Bake:
    • Follow the cooking time specified on the crescent roll package until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Serve:
    • Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Optionally, top with sour cream and sliced avocado.

Notes:

  • Customize the fillings to suit your taste, adding ingredients like diced onions, jalapeños, or black beans.
  • Keep an eye on the crescent ring while baking to prevent over-browning. Oven temperatures may vary
